This feature doesn’t exist in Premiere – although if you’re running a newer version, then I see no reason why you’d have to render rotation in the timeline. Set your program monitor playback quality to 1/4 and give playback a try, and remember that in many cases the render status colors of red and yellow are just recommendations unless there are really heavy effects.

Try out the new 7.2.2 update, it fixes a few Canon XF related issues and this may be one of the unlisted fixes. It’s a place to start.

I recall there being an issue with the rocket and Premiere for full 5K. I suggest poking around reduser for this particular issue – I don’t have any 5K stuff off hand, but I don’t believe it’s an issue with the card being in the chassis.

The answer is probably yes but only by looking at the system as a whole – with Xeon systems you’re probably looking at larger.faster memory busses then you’d ever find on an i7 motherboard. As to performance degradation… I wish I could say a percentage but I’d wait until someone like tomshardware can benchmark it.

Task Manager > Details tab, find Premiere > right click, Set Priority > try “below normal”, do the same with AME.
There are command line tricks to launch the program with a set priority, and all child processes they start from that point on should be that priority as well if I’m not mistaken.

Right click footage, go to Modify > Interpret Footage, select conform aspect ratio and select “anamorphic (2.0)”
Place in a 1080HD timeline, right click and select “Scale to frame size” and you have your desqueezed footage in an HD size with proper letterboxes.

Did you let it export to completion? These progress bars are estimated by how difficult a section is to process if the entire video is just as difficult.
In other words, it’s not uncommon for a video to go from 30 minutes to three hours when it hits one VFX shot only to go back down after it’s done rendering that portion.
I forget if Media Encoder shows a “time completed” but just jot down the time you started the render before you go to bed and look at the last modified time when you wake up.

Math my friend, math. Smarter not harder.
In speed/duration reverse the clip and set the speed to 600%. This speed is now your base speed, with time remapping set a keyframe around the pivot points of the speed ramp, raise the bar to 300% and adjust the keyframe i/o to adjust the ramps.
1800% is just 3x faster than 600%, thus where I got the 300% from.

Go through the standard procedures.
1. Under File > Project Settings > General turn off GPU acceleration, if that fixes anything, skip to 3
2. Clear media cache
3. Reinstall your video drivers
4. Reinstall Premiere

In the timeline panel, in the upper right corner there is a pulldown menu. Uncheck “rectify audio waveforms”
This feature simply shows the positive portion of the waveform as it optimizes the vertical space of your track and you can see changes in volume more easily.
