Upside Down Video in the Source Monitor
I’m working on a project where I have a lot of footage from a Steadicam that is upside down. I’m trying to find a quick way to preview this upside down footage right side up before putting it in the timeline. I understand that you can load it into the timeline and rotate/flip it there, but I’m working with a lot of footage. I’d rather not have to deal with working with and rending all that footage if there is a good chance I won’t use it. I’ve look for a solution to this problem on this forum already, but haven’t found anything helpful. If someone has already posted and answered this, I’d love to be redirected to it. Thanks!

This feature doesn’t exist in Premiere – although if you’re running a newer version, then I see no reason why you’d have to render rotation in the timeline. Set your program monitor playback quality to 1/4 and give playback a try, and remember that in many cases the render status colors of red and yellow are just recommendations unless there are really heavy effects.

Thank you for the clarification. It’s a shame that it isn’t that easy, but it isn’t a huge setback. The playback is very choppy for me, but I am overdue for a comp cleanup. Thanks again!
