Premiere Pro CC and C300 footage with missing Audio (outside the camera)
Hello all, so here’s my issue.
Working on a Documentary I am syncing camera footage to External Audio with the use of a guide track from the camera. A couple days of footage in and the guide track on the C300 footage just stops to exist. Luckily the director had a card with the media on it still, when put back into the camera and played on the camera the audio plays back perfectly.
I have tried playing the footage in Premiere CC natively, transcoding it to an .mov, playing it back in MC7, FCP7, playing the raw footage back in VLC, at no point will the audio play back. It only seems to exist when the media is played back from the C300 itself.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or know any work arounds? My guess is minor data corruption that is preventing the audio track to be translated outside the C300. This said it has happened on multiple days of shooting so it seems to be a recurring error.
Really want to get to the bottom of this…
