You don’t need the SxS driver unless you are trying to mount SxS media in the finder. It has no bearing on playing back clips.Brad
You need XDCAM Transfer 2.11.0 or later if you want full use of XDCAM Transfer on a Mac running Snow Leopard (OS 10.6 or later) .. there was indeed a thumbnail issue in earlier versions running under Snow Leopard.Niklaas
What version of FCP are you running? You need FCP 6.0.2 or later to work with XDCAM EX mediaBest

you can do this with my free Region Blur plugin too, just set edge to frame, blur to zero and the tint color and amount as needed … bear in mind that with my plugin the frame thing works best on square pixel comps

November 30, 2009 at 4:36 am in reply to: how i can set keyframes on my motion tab under speedHi Claudio
You can just press the keyframe button to add a keyframe at the playhead position (its the small round button with the diamond shape icon that lies between the next and prev keyframe arrow buttons) or you can simply use the pen tool (p) to add keyframes in the Motion tab as and where needed.

duplicate the clip in a second layer exactly above the first
add a Blur filter to the upper layer
add a Matte > Mask Shape filter to the upper layer and adjust as desired
optionally, add a Matte > Soft Edges filter to the upper layer so as to feather the mask shape edges… or you could grab a copy of my free Region Blur plugin from https://web.me.com/andymees which pretty much does all the above but in a single filter form

November 29, 2009 at 1:55 pm in reply to: ADMIN: Notice of impending policy change regarding posting in this forum[Jakob Mortensen] “BUT I hope this is not a move meant to filter new/unexperienced users away from this forum. “
Not at all Jakob, the forums remain a free resource that any user of any level can browse through and learn from … the concept of providing a mechanism to better categorize posts is simply a means to foster a more considerate use of the forums as already provided, and if anything it’s designed to retain the active participation (and hence the knowledge base) of the more experienced users who might get bored with basic stuff and wander elsewhere. I think’ll you’d agree that thats a good thing 🙂 And it offers the added benefit of reminding such crusty pro’s that the “Basics” forum is alive and well and just a mouse click away, and might encourage them to drop in and see if there is anything over there that they could help out on.
[Jakob Mortensen] “Often there is a tendency to forget that we all started out fresh and green at one point”
Of course, and I don’t think anyone really forgets that … but I know that if I joined an intermediate/advanced woodworking class and asked how a dovetail joint worked then whilst I might be tolerated well enough (a nicer bunch of carpenters you couldn’t wish to meet) and get the answer I needed (although probably in far more detail than I needed), I’d also very probably have been better off if someone had just politely pointed me to the beginners woodworking class next door where I wouldn’t have felt so silly 🙂

Hi Micah
Just read your original post in the basics forum (and you are right, it doesn’t seem very “basic” at all … my guess is that it may have been moved in error during this teething stage with the new basics/pro vote system)Anyhoo, off the reread I now realise your are trying to accomplish the opposite of what I’ve posted above ie you want to create L&T associated clip references rather not create L&C associated clip references.
Off the top of my head … sorry not a clue. But I dare say someone will figure it out in due course. Doesn’t help you immediately but patience is a virtue they say …

Export > Batch List, then reimport … clip references generated by the Batch List import should then be recognized by Log and Capture. L&T association gone.
or
Export > XML (version 2 or version 1) then reimport that XML … again, L&T association gone.
