    Hello Everybody!

I have a small problem, I hope somebody can help me solving this?

Everytime I want to import my clips, from my XDCamera, into FCP, there appears the following problem.
I do not have any problem to get my clips into FCP, but when I capture my clips via XDCAM transfer, I just CAN’T SEE MY THUMBNAILS???

There is no problem to play the clips and getting them into FCP, but the following text is shown:

“Quicktime and MPEG4 decompressor are needed to see this file”.

Again, no problem to play them, but it is rather anoying if you can’t see the clips, when you would like to make a selection of the footage.

What did I do wrong, I didn’t do anything else, just the same as I did a hundred times before!?

    can somebody help me?

    I hope so!

    Thanks in advance.

Actually no I didn’t have the sxs driver since on this MBP I don’t have the card slot (it has an SD card slot) so I have to bring video in thru USB port thus I use XD transfer..
I’ll load the driver and see if it works better.. thanks!

You don’t need the SxS driver unless you are trying to mount SxS media in the finder. It has no bearing on playing back clips.

    Brad
You need XDCAM Transfer 2.11.0 or later if you want full use of XDCAM Transfer on a Mac running Snow Leopard (OS 10.6 or later) .. there was indeed a thumbnail issue in earlier versions running under Snow Leopard.

What version of FCP are you running? You need FCP 6.0.2 or later to work with XDCAM EX media

    Dear Andy,
i understand that u are using 2.11.0 version?
How did you downloaded it? I have downloaded it more than 6-7 times
from different computers (MAC & PCs) and everytime my MAC says that the disk image is NOT recognized!!!!!!!

Have any other link where i can download the 2.11.0 version?

    Thanks!

    Hi Yannis
I downloaded from https://support.sonybiz.ca/esupport/eSupportHome.asp using Safari web browser on a Mac … try that link, it worked with no problems at all for me (but this was about a month ago).
    Very Best
