Do you have the 6.5.1.patch installed? This resolved slowdown issues on some machines. If this doesn’t solve the problem, try reducing your undo levels to 5, and turn off “Sync time of related items in comps” – (something close to that) in Prefs.

Why not just render the stroke on it’s own layer and apply the glow to that layer?

I’m currently running AE7 on: 1 x Mac G5 Quad 2.5, 3 x Mac G5 2.0 DP, 1 x Mac G4 1.25 DP, 1 x G4 1.5 Powerbook.
Not a single significant problem.

Cycore, Colour Finesse and Keylight are included, but Zaxwerks 3D Invigorator Classic is no longer supplied in any versions.

In my case this message was caused by some Digital Anarchy plugins that needed upgrading for AE7.

The CC Cycore effects are a seperate install on the After Effects CD. They are included on non-academic versions of AE 6.5, and all versions of AE 7.
