AE Error: Failed to acquire CFM version of suite ADM Basic Suite, Version 5 (48::0)???
I’ve been getting this error message ever since upgrading to AE7. Has anyone seen this before? I’m not sure which plug-in this is referrring to escpecially since all of my plug-ins seem to be working properly.

Mmh, even if you say otherwise, it must be one of your plugins. I’m no programmer, but the message would point to some plugin not being able to read data in the render queue. Have you watched the renderqueue with twirled down extended info? This should give you a clue which layer (and the effects applied thereon) might cause this.

Good thought. The problem is that I get this message when I launch AE. I hit the enter key a few times and then it launches properly. I don’t think it has anything to do directly with the render que.

Mmh, if it pops up even on startup (while AE is scanning for plugins), then definitely something is wrong. This would indicate that multiple plugins are affected which in turn could only be some plugin suite like Boris or similar.

In my case this message was caused by some Digital Anarchy plugins that needed upgrading for AE7.
