September 30, 2005 at 7:04 am in reply to: Is it safe now to install QT7 in a winxp machine with version 5.1.2? Audio problems…Quicktime 6.5 will allow you to monitor audio accurately from Deckcontrol and all other supported applications.
Decklink 5.2.

It will not harm your system if you have already installed Quicktime 7 – The rendered audio tracks will still be present.

September 26, 2005 at 4:48 am in reply to: Decklink Extreme Adobe Premeire Pro says no Audio DriversHi Leo
The current software versions for XP professional are :
Decklink 5.1.2, Quicktime 6.5, directX 9.0 and Service Pack 2.
Ensure that you have removed any existing Decklink drivers from Add/Remove Programs before installing the following driver.
https://www.blackmagic-design.com/downloads/software/DeckLink_Windows_5.1.2.zipThe P4 test machine I am using here only uses a Decklink card as the Audio card – playback and preview from Premiere Pro is definitely enabled.

Currently Quicktime 6.5 is recommend for usage with Decklink cards on Windows XP Professional.
You may wish to uninstall quicktime 7 and revert to 6.5 and see if this resolves the issue. Please can you email your software and hardware configurations to pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com and I shall review these configuration and we can take it from there.

Decklink SD cards require a 64bit PCI slot – unless other wise specified in system requirements.

Deckcontrol should be working if the above mentioned elements are true. You should then be able to
play back color bars from Deckcontrol. The are available here https://www.blackmagic-design.com/support/software/Enabling extended desktop in XP.
Right Click desktop > Properties > Settings > Select the Second monitor Decklink (2) and Select the extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor option.
Changing Formats NTSC to PAL Advanced > Adapter > List modes will permit you to change formats. The Default should be NTSC.Email pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com is you have any other issues.

September 16, 2005 at 7:07 am in reply to: AVI codecs still unusable…for rendering in after effectHi Oscar
Can we modify your workflow so that you render to a local disk array then move it to the network drive ?
This may help the process.

September 16, 2005 at 5:30 am in reply to: Premiere Pro DV25 to 10bitUncompressed conversion via firewire.DV to 10bit uncompressed.
I would try to take a component or SDI feed from your DV material. If that is not possible use the firewire interface and capture to the uncompressed timeline in Premiere.
Once you have captured the final media export from Premiere Pro and use framelink to generate the DPX sequence.

Sounds like you are out of Disk space or have a disk error – can you check your disks and video array via Disk Management and perform a surface scan and verifiy how much space you have left.
