Hi Paul
Yes that is correct the Audio channels require a Video stream to Embed to. Black video would be suitable.

Framelink uses the frist available drive letter whenit creates a new virtual drive.
I would recommend working to a Static Network drive or Locally shared Network drive.
You can remap shared folders from the machine you are working on as Network drive, when are finished rendering and processing in the final stages of processing. Move the finshed dpx sequences to a newly created Framelink Network drive.
Unmount and the mokvie will be ready for playback.

When rendering out from After Effect in NTSC – Render settings > Time Sampling > Field Render > Lower Field First. By default the Field Order is off – assuming Progressive Material ( Animation ).
NTSC Uncompressed and DV NTSC AND PAL are Lower field First.
PAL Uncompressed are Upper Field first.
All HD format are Upper Field First.Andrew McLeod

Hi
As this appears to be isolated to mixing media on the timeline of a DV project. I would recommend that you use an Uncompressed project.
Please can you foward your system details to pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com – include motherboard details etc and software install. I shall then review your system configurations to ensure there are no other issues.
