In Explorer the project opens correctly in Vegas 11. Only when is nested it tries to open Vegas 10. A little icon in explorer shows that it is associated with Vegas 11.

I am using uncompressed avi for VDub to resize to SD and compress for DVDA. I just cannot think about any setting that would’ve changed apart that with the second rendering I went from Best to Good with the goal to lower the size of the file.

I am rendering avi back to avi with only simple cut and no effects added using uncompressed template. What is a difference between this template and HD 720-60p YUV?

August 15, 2011 at 3:19 pm in reply to: AE project in Vegas

Sorry, my mistake – I did actually rendered it to 720p. Following your advice I am now rendering it to QuickTime but why should it be better then losless avi?
There maybe some softness but my main concern is “stutter” in AE camera movement. Actually, it is not as much as stuttering but really extreme motion blur. Whereas in the original AE project and avi render from AE there is a minimal motion blur that makes the camera movement more realistic, when I render vegas timeline to mp4 or mpeg2 the motion blur becomes very exaggerated splitting the text as the camera moves by making it very unpleasant to watch.

After replacing avi render with Quicktime it seems that results with regards to motion blur are only slightly better but not much.

Is there a way to upgrade to 10c instead of 10d?

    Hi John,
in this thread I was trying to make sure that I wasn’t making errors in the way I was applying the presets in a multicam project. We are already taking about a possible bug with presets in the other thread I’ve started.
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/932319

And you’re right these filter packages didn’t come with Vegas, hey’re JMH presets that I’ve installed few years back.
Thank you John for your help and I’ll answer your questions in the other thread.
