Usually this is a codec problem. When you first open pp it then offers you the option to install more content which you should do. Also, you should install the latest version of quicktime. To play a video on your own machine for editing you need to have the same codec used to create the video on your machine to open it. For example, if you capture video with a capture card on one machine you won\’t be able to open it on another machine without the same card. However, there may be more to it as the pics should be ok! Hope this helps … another thought … if you are still using a trial version you may not get all the codecs unless you get the full version .. no sure but I think this is correct

Noise reduction is always a case of push/pull. You push one thing and something else gives, so it is a balance. As for other options have you tried taking noise out in the spectral view? This tends to be a slightly more targeted approach especially for constant noises like rumbles or hums.

I\’m no expert but mp3s are compressed files and my guess would be that it has something to do with that. To preserve quality, you should open the mp3 and after making any changes or adding markers you should save the file as an asnd file and keep working on that until you are ready for your final output as this won\’t reduce the quality then,only save again to an mp3 when you get to your final output. But, if you can use a file format like wav that may keep the overall quality higher than continually compressing with mp3

Hi, I’m really sorry but if you have recorded all three mics on one channel then you aren’t going to find anything that will separate them again. If you have more than one channel, next time put the voice on one and the instruments on another and make sure you have headphones on to monitor the sound

I have no idea what’s happening, but I guess you’ve watched your timeline through and made sure that there’s nothing odd in the original timeline prior to export?
Also, if you can identify the clips that are running slow, click on them and see if there are any effects applied that may be causing a problem. If so, try removing the effect and see if it helps.
Lastly, you could try exporting it with the media encoder. Open the media encoder and File>Add Premiere Pro Sequence and then try rendering it out from the media encoder rather than through PP … It’s worth a try.

The only thing I can think of is to create sub-clips for each selection you make in the source panel. That way, each selection will become a separate item in your project panel to use as and when you are ready to use it.

What you want to do is bring in the logo through a title. If you create a new still title and then go to the title menu at the top you will see that you can import your logo into the title. Import your logo, scale it, change its opacity and place it in the right place, add any drop shaddow etc and the put the new title on the layer above your video and then trim (expand it) to the entire length of the video in your timeline. Firstly, you should really avoid all this rendering. Every time you render or ‘convert’ a file you reduce the quality. This means that you start with a wmv, convert to an AVI and then add your watermark and export again from AE you end up with 3 renders which will really affect the quality of your video. If possible (and I don’t know windows movie maker so I don’t know) you should add the ‘watermark’ as a separate layer in movie maker and then render it all out from there. If you must take it to AE, don’t convert it to an AVI first, but use the original wmv. However, if you can output a lossless AVI from windows movie maker use that and take it into AE, add the logo on another layer and choose composition>add to render que. Then, click on the ‘output module’ hot text and then I would probably advise to choose Quicktime from the dropdown and then hit the format button on the right hand side and select either H.264 or Mpeg4 and check that the size etc are all correct. This will give you a good quality and reasonably small sized file – ideal for the internet. Hope this helps. Andrew
