Hi David
To delete tracks, right click on the track headers (video 1 / audio 1 etc) and choose from the menu there.
To delete multiple clips – audio only – hold the ALT key while dragging around just the audio portions of the clips and then hit delete.
Hope this helps

Have you tried Prelude yet? I wonder if it isn’t more the program you want for the type of shot selection you are trying to do? It has different color markers for the different functions that you may want to use and I believe (although I’ve not checked) that it keeps those colors over in PP … It may be worth checking out?
All the best

I’m not sure that there was ever an option for multiple i/o on the same clip – you just overight the present i/o when you create new ones.
However, if the clip is already in the timeline the old i/o points are respected and you only get the new i/o points when you bring in another version of the clip to the timeline. So to have multiple bits of the same clip with differnt i/os just make sure you drop clips on the timeline each time you set a new i/o.

Hi Adam, they are completely customizable and that is also.how I.use them. I only used the preset to give an example. ProAnimator is far easier and quicker to use and make custom animations with.
Hope this helps

Hi, same problem here and I’ve tried a lot of things and got mixed results.
I tried disabling multi-processor rendering
The ‘Secret’ preference
Different types of quicktime
TGA sequences
PNG sequenes
AVI filesand what happens it that the RAM usage on my machine keeps creeping up and if it happens to reach the max before the end of the render then the whole thing fails. But if not, then I get a rendered output.
I got sucess with the PNG sequence and some AVIs, but not all. I think there is also some kind of link to the size/complexity of what you are doing to the speed the RAM is being used up.
Also, when it fails you need to quit AE as the whole system seems to want to stop.
Like you all, this is the most frustrating thing about. I am lucky in that at least I have some render output, but my last output uses multiple Mocha shape layers and is simply too complex for my system RAM (although it shouldn’t be).
Has anyone raised a query with Adobe directly about this? Also, I am happy to try any other solutions!

You guys have all been really helpful, thank you 🙂
I\’m back to it on Monday so will put this into practice then. Learning FCP quick and on the go is proving to be quite fun. And this forum is great.
Thanks again

Hi Mark
Also, in case I have to stick with a TGA sequence, how do I go about setting up the folder for 1 frame playback on the timeline? Thanks again

Hi Mark
Thanks for the detailed reply, although it does sound like a real pain to do.I am actually exporting the TGS sequence from AE in the hope of keeping it really high quality before it is finally rendered out of FCP, but maybe I need to think of a better file format?
Any suggestions as to what would be a good file format to keep it as high as possible that FCP would play without me having to muck around with the bins etc?
I am assuming an uncompressed file format but don’t know what FCP likes.
Thanks
AndrewPS – In premiere pro you just import it as a single footage item by seleecting the first image and clicking a check-box!
