one solution we found is to bacth export all .caf files to .mov files and all these new .mov files are pure native on my timeline now. only problem is that i cant export as 2 ch mov file and right now i do not need 5.1 ch. it too many channels to work with. sure i can delete extra 4 channels as i put clip on timeline, but again it takes time.
any idea or experience?

Tom, thank you for your reply again.
Could you kindly tell me where I can buy such kind of a license or at least more info about installing and using such thing. I googled for that but cant find anything. Only thing I found on another forum is message from Mr. Noah Kadner: “Acquiring a volume license is the way to go if you have more than one machine in use at once.”… same thing – can not find where to buy that kind of license.

difficult to beleive… they must have at least some kind of family or studio type of license when you allowed to run FCP on several Macs on one network of editing studio.

January 31, 2009 at 1:55 pm in reply to: how to export without re-encoding, in native timeline codec?… I want to say that this problem is on PC and not on Mac. PC has Core2 Quad 2.5 Ghz processor, 3.25 Gb RAM, around 600 Gb free available space on Hard Disk.
Please help.

Yes, Susan!
Actually I was trying to render the clip but it did nothing. After your message I thought “… well, let me check render settings…” and I noticed that in Render Selection menu “preview” was not checked. So, I did it and now picture is brilliant clear and as it supposed to be.
Thank you!

Dave thank you for your input!
Yes, RayLight decoder was first thing we were trying and it works fine but we are small production team and can not afford to invest more. We are just trying to use what ever is available for now and Media Encoder doing his work just good. My only concern is if that kind of conversion is destructive or lossless (re-wrap or re-encode).

Jeremy thanks for the reply!
Just found out that it would be easier for him just to create new bin, drag and drop all the MXF from the p2card folder into it and preview it right from premier itself.
