    Hi,

have no experience to work with .caf files. yesterday found some of sound fx sounds from apple royalty free library useful to foil my video and problem is that after every change in sound track i have to render whole piece again. it is quite annoying and takes a lot of time. then i decided to batch export all selected .caf sounds batch export from FCP browser to classical 2 channel aiff but FCP reports “general error”. I was trying to convert it with QT and it works fine.

what u would recommend to me? how to work with caf files natively or how to batch convert caf to aiff?

thank you in advance for any help,

one solution we found is to bacth export all .caf files to .mov files and all these new .mov files are pure native on my timeline now. only problem is that i cant export as 2 ch mov file and right now i do not need 5.1 ch. it too many channels to work with. sure i can delete extra 4 channels as i put clip on timeline, but again it takes time.

    any idea or experience?
