Hi Mark,
Try deleting you render files.
If it doesnt help you could try your cache files and your FCP preferences as well. (https://www.digitalrebellion.com/pref_man.htm)Hope this helps

Hi,
Don’t know if you have tried to apply the reverse as a filter?
G rev: https://www.nattress.com/Free/freeFCP.htm
this will shift your fields as well (usefull if you work interlaced;-)
Does not now if this helps you out in your workflow, since I don’t know where you are taking your edl…Hope it helps,

December 9, 2009 at 2:26 pm in reply to: HD to SD through Compressor = Magenta/PinkHi, Jerry,
Sorry I wasnt clear enough about this;
It havent been into FCP yet –
Im converting so that another mac can handle it.
workflow:
Xdcam log and transfer (the stand alone app)
files from finder into compressor and convert.I have found a workaround now: batch export from FCP.
However it would be nice to know what causes magenta output from my compressor. Or if anyone else has seen anything similar.

Hi There,
Nice that you solved the problem.
There are a few programs that can find and delete these preference files for you.
Nice to have if FCP acts wird. You can download from

Hi Anna
try deleting all your renderfiles.
then open the projectfile.
If it wont open; try to take your projectfile away from your media files or wise versa (like ejecting your media drives or open your project file on a mac thats not connected to the media)
If this works: do a save as – with a different name. and reconnect sequence / bin or part of project at the time.
You may have corrupt media files – so you have to locate them and delete them/”heal” them.hope this helps you out!

December 4, 2009 at 12:49 pm in reply to: Out of Memory Error… FCP 7… project too large?Hi,
I´v had this same problem with big stills.
My workaround has been to send them to motion, save – and when you switch back it will render without a problem.
then you render a motion project instead.quick tip is to duplicate your still and hide it on the timeline – just in case of deletion of your new motion projectfile.
Hope this helps you out;-)
best regards Andreas -
Thank you Andy!
I see more and more “usability” for this, but I´m wondering how you use it?Andreas
