HD to SD through Compressor = Magenta/Pink
Hi,
I´m trying to down convert HD to SD, and Compressor gives me a Magenta output.
Shot on xdcam Ex1 1920×1080 50iId like to convert to SD pal 10 bit uncompressed 4:2:2
Ive tried with and without frame controls on in compressor.
And the output is Magenta….
Any ideas what would give me a pink shot? and how to make compressor act nice again?Thank You!

Post your sequence settings.
Did you render to ProRes?Jerry

Sorry I wasnt clear enough about this;
It havent been into FCP yet –
Im converting so that another mac can handle it.
workflow:
Xdcam log and transfer (the stand alone app)
files from finder into compressor and convert.I have found a workaround now: batch export from FCP.
However it would be nice to know what causes magenta output from my compressor. Or if anyone else has seen anything similar.

Sounds to me like something incompatible with the files that you transfered through Sony’s app and Apple’s reading of them or something along those lines. Try skipping the sony import first?
