    Thanks John,

Workflows for automatically adding tags/keywords in KFP. Just brilliant! I was adding keywords by copying/pasting/deleting last night for a test project and gave up. Very interesting thread. Thanks to all.

Thomas, Did you watch the video tutorials at the KeyFlow Pro site? You might find your answers there. Hint: Open them using Youtube and slow them down as the information is coming at you pretty fast.

FCP X is very flexible so there are many ways of organizing your data.

I would create a library for each wedding which would contain different events and projects.

You could have different events for different parts of the wedding and one or more projects (my cut, your cut..etc.) within that “wedding #X Library.

Remember a library contains everything and can easily be moved/copied to a separate hard drive using the Finder. You don’t want to move 20 “weddings” which I’m sure would be rather large.

    Cheers,

    Good morning James,

Intelligent Assistance has clearly created products to help you log. I looked into this a while back, and their software is really taking advantage of FCP X database. Check them out!

The app is possibly hidden. This happened to me. Try in iTunes to manage your account and scroll down to Hidden purchases then manage. I can’t test this as I don’t have any hidden purchases. But worth a try.

Successfully created my first KFP Library with images and three videos without looking back at any of the tutorials. The library I created was then populated with five different Projects based on four different geographical locations (Chicago, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon) plus a Project with the videos.

Then I dragged the files I into a Library (Event) in FCP X and created a short timeline which I then shared back to KFP using the KFP Agent.

The only problem I encountered was H.265 which KFP doesn’t support, so I contacted them about that. Had to convert the H.265 to ProRes
