    Hey guys,

anybody know what is up with the “Run Workflow for Media Imported from Final Cut Pro X” feature in Workflow Pro.

I understand the Watch Folder will copy the media or files form the folder into the Keyflow Pro.
But what and how does the Final Cut Pro X option work?

    Thanks

If you assign a workflow to a project, it will do things to the media that comes in. For example, if you have a file imported from a watch folder with the name ‘xyz’ in it, you can build a rule that tags any file that file something like ‘rough cuts’ or ‘client media’ or whatever.

We have completely overhauled our system to work with Keyflow and I’m a little late in getting that finished to show it off.

Thomas, Did you watch the video tutorials at the KeyFlow Pro site? You might find your answers there. Hint: Open them using Youtube and slow them down as the information is coming at you pretty fast.

When FCPX exports a file to Keyflow, you choose the project you want the media to go to, then your workflow (which is already pre-assigned to the project in KFP) can follow some simple steps like tag the file xyz if the file contains that in it’s name, or copy a version to folder x somewhere on the finder, etc.

There are not an insane amount of options yet but they are getting better.
