Version 6.0 was released on last NAB, and it was a major upgrade. I don’t think we will see a new version until next year. (this year might be the year of xsan and finalcut server)

Thanks, but I already have about 10 macbooks so it would be nice if I could use these..

Anyways, looks like it will work (these macs are ONLY for batching. Editing will be done on a macpro)

The new zooming is great, and it should actually have been like that for ages. I was really getting tired of hitting deselect all everytime I had to zoom.

Apple should make this zooming the default way. It’s that way in Avid, and I think it’s much more logical. (hey.. I am NOT an avid guy, but Avid’s got some of their stuff right)

October 21, 2007 at 6:16 pm in reply to: Mysterious FCP6 issues.. please helpl!

    2. I got this error: (which I actually get ALL THE TIME… on my other editing systems too… and w/older versions of FCP:)

    “AE Effects Error:
    Rendering error using
    “Misfire Vignette.bundle”.
    Verifty filter parameters.”

This is NORMAL. Normal as in magic bullet is quite buggy, and this problem is very common on all macs It does not have to do with after effects at all. It’s just a generic error message, and don’t worry what it actually says..

I have used used magic bullet ALOT, and I have seen this error message all over the place. Redgiantsoftware claim that this is solved with version 2.2.1. If you look up their webpage supportarea they address exactly this issue. They claim that it will be fixed if you follow their solution. However, it does NOT work for me.

SOLUTION: Buy Magic Bullet Looks. The new version of magicbullet. It NEVER crash and it’s a fantastic upgrade. Red Giant should have fixed version 2, but I don’t have time to care too much about it… move on and buy the upgrade….

Sorry if I sounded not as thankfull as I should. Thanks for looking for the script.

I did try to search, and I have searched quite a bit to find an easy app to fullfill my dream of doing easy batch converting. I’ve just found big apps that can do this (sound grinder) or info on doing this in compressor (which I can’t really figure out how to do smoothly)

So again, thanks for your effort

Well, I have always thought that everything should be in 48khz. I remember experiencing small sound glitches when using 44.1, but that might have been an earlier version of fcp.

It’s only making 44.1 khz aiffs. Can’t be used in productionwork.

Itunes is a bit too complicated. We are talking 1 terrabyte of music and big productions. Trying to stay away from making the editors use itunes too much in fear that they mess up the music folder structure too much.
