While I know nothing compared to Adam…Why not apply the noise to only to the gradient? That way your whole image doesn’t get the grain.

Thanks to a co-worker’s help we found the problem. The videos I was using for some of my materials were way too big. I recompressed them to about 300mb each (they were 2Gb) and everything is peachy. Thr projects now saves correctly and is rendering away.

Thanks for the response. In the past if I did “Save Project” it would create a new folder with a copy of the project and a tex folder with all my materials. Now I’m only a tex folder with some of my materials (seems to randomly choose which ones) and often I don’t even get the copy of the project. I’ll check my paths, but I think there’s still issues somewhere. I did re-install everything on my machine, but it doen’t seem to have helped.

Not many instructors in the US, but Frank Corts in Mission Viejo CA is a great one. The UK seems to have tons though.

Thanks Mylenium, pretty much what I figured. Any recomendations? Atom Array won’t work because I want a very regular, even mesh.

Actually, I am running a local client too. I put it in my original post, but should’ve made it more clear. The local client not seeing the modules and pluggins is what brought up the question. While the server doesn’t ‘need’ the pluggins and modules, it still seems to me that both client and server should be installed in the original C4D folder. If for no other reason than so that the client can find the pluggins and modules.
I know from trying that moving the client and server app. to the original C4D folder is a very very bad thing: I take I’ll have to install my modules and pluggins in the folder made for the local client?
