    Hello
You also may want to look at Total Recorder. It’s a great little program for recording anything your computer hears. Nice thing about it is you can pre-set the recording medium, like WAV, OGG, MP3 etc in order to save on disk space.

I use it for recording my online radio station.

Run your stereo through your sound card and record away. Then you can edit in Vegas or Sound Forge

January 7, 2006 at 1:52 am in reply to: Language Prob in Vegas ** Realy Need Help

First, what version of Vegas are you using? I use Vegas 5 and do Chinese all the time. Chinese is also a double byte character. Your’s looks possibly Arabic? Or Thai?

You may try not using unicode and also you should use a language font particular to your language and not the Arial Unicode MS. Sometimes using MS’s standard fonts will cause problems. I found that out many times, so I actually have Chinese fonts to use.

    Hope this helps

The way I understand it is you’d have to mask out the current background and replace it with generated media (white).

Or you’re looking at green screen. I’d check out Serious magic for that one but their software isn’t cheap.

    Hi
I like my Sony GV-D1000 MiniDV Walkman. It’s rock solid and has a monitor screen which many of the decks don’t. Powered by either AC or Sony M batteries. I already had 2 M batteries from an earlier camcorder that went bad on me.

Has Firewire, RCA and S-video. You can use it as a field monitor as well as a pass-through. Originally got mine from B&H Photo.

Also, this may sound stupid, but when was the last time you defragged your computer?

And you’re not rendering to your C drive are you? Maybe a setting changed.

    I always defrag before rendering.

Also on each photo, right click and go down to Switches, (I think it’s that), and check “reduce interlace flicker”.

Not sure about Vegas but I know MAC has a windows emulation program that allows you to use windows program on MAC. I’d think you’d have to try it.

December 2, 2005 at 11:13 am in reply to: DVD Burner

Personally I’ve had 2 Sony burners. First was a DRU500A and second a DRU540. I had problems with both of them. I wouldn’t use Sony burners again. Sony seems too particular about the brands of media they want you to use.

I recently got a new computer for my editing anf it came with an HP Light Scribe. I ‘love’ it. no problems and I’ve used a varity of media.

You need to use good media though. Basically now I only use printable surface and LightScribe disks from Maxell, TY, Memorex and HP. mY Epson R200 prints disks so I don’t use any paper labels anymore. Of course I never did use paper labels on DVD’s.

November 30, 2005 at 10:56 am in reply to: OT: recommend a good DVD printer in the US?

I use CustomFlix. They do full color on DVD’s and you can open your own store (Page). They also do duplication or replication depending on your quantity. Custom Flix is designed for us inde film makers.

    https://www.customflix.com/Index.jsp

I have 2 ‘shops’ there for my 3 DVD’s. They take care of duplicating, packaging and shipping to my customers. Fees are on a sliding scale depending on how many you sell each month.

There’s also diskmakers, but they don’t do full color on the DVD’s. Only 3 color printing. Do a search for Disk Makers.

You can see one of my shops at
