A 1 minute QT should fit on a CD. I use NTI instead of Nero. I had to send a 1 minute AVI clip to CustomFlix for my DVD trailer and it fit on a CD as DATA and not a video and a AVI file is much larger than a QT file. They converted it to QT format for their site. Just open your burning software and click on “create a data CD”. Drag the QT file and burn it.

There’s many converters out there. Maybe you can even find a free one. One possibility is the Ogg Vorbis site…..
……..Ogg is a great format and Vegas likes it. Converting from WAV, I think OGG is better than MP3 and doesn’t need all the licensing.
I have a MIDI converter that will convert to wav, OGG and MP3. Do a search for MIDI Converter on the web

Also you can right click on the clip in question, scroll down to ‘GROUP’ and you’ve got some more choices.

How would you turn off Write caching on a drive? I have 2 external Maxtor 1-touch personal storage connected via 1394 and am having the same problem. I tried replacing the firewire cables but it didn’t solve the problem. I’m thinking the HD is starting to go.

Yup GG.
That’ll work fine. I got the Chinese software long before XP came out. W2K had some CJK abilities but XP’s great. Originally got NJ Star when I had W98SE.
Been to Beijing also. Check out my web site.

No. no you will not be able to enter Chinese text unless you have a Chinese program and proper fonts. And not knowing Chinese would not help you to copy paste anyway.
There is a way around it sort of if you have XP. you can set the program to Chinese as well as MSIE 6. That may help some but since I have the Chinese software and fonts (my Wife and Son are from China) I never set XP. My son did and it seems to work but he also has NJ Star Communicator. That’s only $99. You can do it with that software.
Personally I think you should find a Chinese person who has a Chinese computer that can help you then.
And MS Word is unicode. I don’t use it hardly at all for Chinese. I have a Chinese word processor.

I do Chinese text all the time. You can copy/paste or you can enter Chinese into the text boxes directly. Or you can follow the instructions above and create the text in Photo Shop.
Do you know Chinese? Do you have a Chinese overlay program like NJ Star? Doing Chinese is not like doing English and you need a Chinese program that allows you to use Chinese in Windows.
Chinese characters ae double byte chatacters.
