Was Pr installed later than AE, or re-installed, or had its preferences trashed? Tried re-installing the drivers?

I believe it’s Menu – Edit – Preferences – Playback – Video Devices. If you have the drivers installed, there should be a “Blackmagic Device” or something like that.

I don’t think that was BMD support really – pretty sure it’s just someone maintaining an unofficial G+ page and community on their own time. So emailing BMD support may still make sense – far as I know, they don’t monitor the G+ page, and probably not even the forum – at least not 100% of it.

Have you tried emailing BMD support? Sometimes that works. 🙂 (I haven’t yet.)

That’ll work although it’s previous gen – SATA II and not III.
WD4000FYYZ, WD3000FYYZ and WD2000FYYZ are their latest SATA models, 2-4TB capacities.

It’s a decent card – a great match for Premiere Pro; a little less so for heavy AE use, but all in all, a great bang for the buck.

Second Nate and Bob (and Adi), with one possible caveat. Consumerization of shared storage is already here for general IT, small business and home networks, and it’s arriving to collaborative editing as well. One of the first manifestations is GB Labs Space Adi mentioned. While not sold on Amazon or B&H, and still requiring a modicum of integration (switch, NICs, permissions), it’s much more plug-n-play than most other solutions out there. Setting it up in my shop and editing off of it took all of 10 minutes. Possibly something for OP to look into.

All retail Quadro cards are sold by PNY; integrated – by PNY and Tier 1 (Dell, HP, Lenovo).
Do they (Tier 1 OEMs and PNY) “build” them? I am not sure, but when I had a rare bad Quadro card from HP and contacted PNY for support, they kept asking me for board markings and when I said the card came from HP, they said they did not build it – HP did. Which would also mean Dell and Lenovo build their own versions, clearly following much stricter NVidia guidelines vs. GeForces.
It’s entirely possible NVidia supplies fully assembled Quadro cards to OEMs and they only slap tags on them, and maybe do firmware adjustments. Or maybe they do “build” them, using their own fans and other secondary components. Not sure. Yet based on what PNY said, the don’t all come from the same assembly line.
Do you know the level of OEM involvement with Quadro cards, exactly?

YT editor is cloud and browser based but I don’t think it has any collaborative editing features.
Have you looked at the WeVideo Google Drive edition? You could share folders with various clients and client groups – I am not sure though if the editing is non-destructive (a requirement for collaborative editing) or how the flow will work, exactly.
If you could go through that edition and make notes, what works for you and what doesn’t, and share with all of us here, that’d be great. I am very curious about all this.
