Suggested GPU
Posted by Alon David on February 3, 2013 at 9:01 amI was wondering if anyone had any experience with Gtx660i GPU. I am doing alot of editing and after effects but light 3d animation. Would this be ok for what I want to do?

February 3, 2013 at 10:06 pmIt’s a decent card – a great match for Premiere Pro; a little less so for heavy AE use, but all in all, a great bang for the buck.

AE performance mainly depends on RAM, CPU and Hard Disk unless you are going for 3D Ray-Tracing feature which is new in CS6 version.
So Gtx660i GPU would be good for Premiere Pro as it will use NVidia video card’s GPU to accelerate playback, effects and rendering.

February 8, 2013 at 7:53 pmIf you want to use the GPU acceleration features that rely on CUDA, I recommend getting a card that we’ve actually tested thoroughly and support for these features.
