It’s really useful..

I think it’s main use.. is for when you have a complicated 3d composition.. you can than bring it in to another comp.. click that button.. and it keeps it 3d form..

There is a little button in the time line window inbetween the shy layer switch and the quality switch.. it looks like a sun…it’s called collapse transformations

click that on your pre comp.. that should do the trick

I’d seriously consider usual particular…

In vers 2.0 you can use streaks.. so this would be ideal…

and then use a separate paricular layer to matte them away…

well I’m not so sure..

If I apply posterize time on my layer that was shot at 125fps.. and tell it to play at 25fps it plays it at normal speed.

anything above that.. it does nothing…

so that’s why I was thinking of a nice slider.. that would affect time remapping.. when slider was at 25 it played at 25fps.. when it was at 125 it was playing at 125fps..

if it can’t be done.. it’s fine.. I am more than happy doing it by hand..

I just thought I would try to be clever !!

from what I can work out it doesn’t really do what I want…

I want to able to control the frame rate with a slider..

do that when I get to a certain point I can animate the slider to change the frame rate !!

lot of speed ups and slow downs..

Or what I do.. so you have more control is this
lets say you want to wiggle the position

create a slider on your layer…

add the below expression to the pos bit.

now when you move your slider it controls the wiggle…

you can then keyframe the amount..

I find this really handy !!!

Here’s one way to do it:

When you create a new composition..

you can choose NTSC D1 Widescreen square pixels.

the cage should match this as well.. just press ‘ or the title safe button in the composition window

If I was you.. I wouldn’t even consider rotoscoping.. shoot green screen all the way..

rotoscoping would be a nightmare !!!

Just make sure you set the green screen lighting properly and you should be fine.
