How to recreate this visual effect in AE?
I’ve just seen this video on youtube, and I’ve been seeing a few adverts here in the UK using the same method as Kseniya Simonova uses to create the visuals.
I’m not after a tutorial or anything, just been wondering how would people start to tackle recreating the effect in AE, and possibly including Particular or Form, but no 3D.

Off the top of my head you would start with a combination of write-on effects.
You’d be writing in both the positive and negative values.
You could use particles or practical footage (smoke, ink in water, etc.) to drive some of the reveals as well.
The images that you’re writing on would probably need to be created in Photoshop or Painter (or something similar) or created practically and then scanned.It would require a good bit of planning, that’s for sure.

I’d seriously consider usual particular…
In vers 2.0 you can use streaks.. so this would be ideal…
and then use a separate paricular layer to matte them away…
lots of planning though !!

Recreating sand animation in a simulation? Cheaper and w-a-y more fun to find a competent sand animation artist. This woman’s skills cannot be simulated, they can only be faked.
