To say “QT” is meaningless, you need to know what codec it uses.
Command-I with the file open in Quicktime player.If Mpeg streamclip can’t do it, you may have to demux it and then convert the resulting files.
For audio i have even resorted to capturing it with WireTap Pro. -
compare the compressor and frame sizes of you captured media to your sequence. you will find your answer.

I have set up our patch panels to include DV patches for capturing dailies, therefore bypassing the AJA.
This way we can get digital audio that can be used in the final mix without having to load in from Dats separately.
When doing a conform from DV sources, i capture via component through the AJA. -
Right on Jeff, I use the same two apps for this as well.

This is because your “Thumbnail Cache Files” folder has changed locations recently,
and FCP doesn’t look in multiple cache folders at once (or at least it seems so).Delete this folder from its locations, then reset the location for where it should be.
Then FCP will regenerate your thumbnails. -
also it is also your best bet to have a raided firewire 800 drive if you are going to work uncompressed.

What are you trying to accomplish? Do you mean you are re-digitizing your footage Uncompressed?

pardon my outburst.
but with poor apple support, electrical shorting internal power supplies, tearing video frames, crashing apps, poorly manufactured ibooks, and a brand new g5 that has burned out its own dvd drive 3 times in a row now, its been a rough day.

Does everyone have this problem with 720×486 footage only?
It seems like iDVD is resizing the video when it encodes it rather than cropping it…
(Im getting a good amount of black at the top and bottom of my screen in this process.)Thoughts?
