Unfortunately i think its a problem related to the OS…
Anyone have 10.3.9 and fcp 5?

This is a big big big problem that can drive a person nuts if they dont know that they are making the problem worse by continuing to hit buttons and drive fcp into a tailspin of lockup….

Can we please put the pressure on Apple to correct this….

This is happening with and without wacom.

Problem is that editors do not realize that they are moving the mouse when their pen hoovers over the tablet.

Playback freezes and once the mouse stops moving the image catches up further down the timeline.

move the mouse while you are fast forwarding and it stops playback… though it continues to play in the timeline

    …. ITS CRAPPLE.

Today i come to work and turn on the G5, and every time i launch final cut 5.2 i get a kernel panic.

Nothing different with any hardware. I believe i ran QT update last week, otherwise i haven’t got a clue

  • Ok I figured it out, simply deleted the presets that I don’t want from
Library > Application Support > Final Cut Pro System Support > Custom Settings

    Problem Solved.
