Umm, first, let’s ask…
AJA Tech Support, are we good to go to FCP 5.0.3 and QT 7.0.3?

I am curious for the green light from AJA tech.
Will we be getting a driver update too?

October 26, 2005 at 3:23 pmIt is very intrigueing as Apple support says that it is 85MB and when you come to the page with the download it is just 14MB. Not a beast. But, I have FCP studio, maybe it is different when you enter FCP serial number.

October 26, 2005 at 3:46 pmJust to report, I’m running both 5.0.3 and 7.0.3 (overeager editor clicked “yes” on auto-updater), and everything is fine and smooth, doing SD uncompressed project and DVCproHD project.

I was hoping.

October 27, 2005 at 2:29 pmAre you using (or have you used) a Wacom tablet on your system? When you are shuttling and you move the mouse, does playback stop permanently, or does it start back up again as soon as you stop moving the mouse? I have the same issue here, and am trying to determine what role my tablet is playing in causing this problem. Essentially, the tablet will stop shuttling all together and cause FCP to hang temporarily, while removing all tablet software and moving the mouse causes shuttling only to pause briefly then start again.
Thanks

October 27, 2005 at 3:22 pmThis is happening with and without wacom.
Problem is that editors do not realize that they are moving the mouse when their pen hoovers over the tablet.
Playback freezes and once the mouse stops moving the image catches up further down the timeline.
