    I believe had this problem at a previous stage of implementation, but had somehow gotten past it.
    It used to be that i also had two Deck control presets, and even if you deleted one of them, they would just come back.
    Now with fresh Tiger, FCP, and AJAIO installs, the extensive and unnecessary (for my needs) capture presets wont stay deleted.
    BUT I NEED TO DELETE THESE PRESETS AND HAVE THEM STAY GONE!
    Many editors and assistants are getting confused with all of them,
    especially on machines where i have both Digital and Analog presets installed.

    PLEASE HELP!

    Ok I figured it out, simply deleted the presets that I don’t want from
    Library > Application Support > Final Cut Pro System Support > Custom Settings

    Problem Solved.
