That’s what baffles me, smoothcam was applied to other clips in my browser without me adding it. I only added it to one clip on the timeline that was totally separate from the clips it was applied to. I’m wondering whether since my project is old, very complicated, went through FCP 5 to 6, and is nested whether smoothcam started going crazy and going on clips where it shouldn’t have.

This is crazy! I’m hiring a musician to write music and need to give him the video file of my 93 minute feature. Perhaps I’ll have to make a file less than 2GB or just create a DVD. Thanks for info guys!

I guess nobody has done this. Everyone just wants to offer advice why I shouldn’t do it.

Doesn’t allow me to install because my system doesn’t meet the min. requirements.

my Powerbook is 867 mhz, FCP 6 requires 1.25ghz. I need to install FCP 6 just to check a file, not going to do heavy editing work. Thanks.

I realize that they’re 3rd party plug-ins. It’s strange because I’ve never used FCE, but somehow they’ve managed to get into my timeline even though I’ve used the regular FCP dissolve effect. I never intentionally downloaded these plug-ins. We do edit on different FCP systems on the same project, but we have always used the basic FCP FX’s. I don’t even have a CGM tab under Effects in the menu, so I’m not sure how they got in. Is this common?

    Thanks,
    Alex
