FasstApps is just a name for their pack of extensions

SCS decided that only FastApps can be used in Movie Studio versions. If you have Vegas Pro, you can install many other 3d-party extensions (free and paid)

Make sure your project properties (fps etc.) match the properties of your video files.

Have you tried proxy editing? Open Project Media window, select your media files, right click and choose “Create Proxy”
