Ultimately, your hi-res images will be rendered and resized to the video’s frame size, right? So, what’s the point to work with “heavy” high resolution images? If you do not use them in Pan/Crop (showing a part of an image), reduce their size to 4K or slightly above. Use offline tools (eg. IrfanView, XnView, Photoshop) or online (eg. this one)

Scripts can do it. Google for vegas pro scripts and maybe you will find one that do what you need. Also look on the official Vegas forum.

Checkboxes allow you to select multiple renderers in one step.

In Vegasaur’s Quick Properties set Playback Rate to the desired speed (1 = 100%, 2 = 200%, 0.5 = 50% i.e. half speed):

Don’t split events. Just copy your original event to the track above the color-corrected event and use Track Composite envelope to create smooth transition.
