Vegas and Panasonic P2
I am a long time user of SVP and am committed to being a user, but I need to let every P2 user know that SVP 12 and P2 media are not working. After trying several fixes for several months, I called Sony to let them know of my problems, most recent is that rendered footage is not acceptable. Any camera movement will result in blurred and pixelated footage.
The response from Sony is that a simple fix has not been found and the developers are aware of the problems and are working for a fix to be included in an updated version.
In the meantime, their suggestion and the one I am now going to use is to return to SVP 11 and use the Raylight plugin for P2.
It is disappointing that you pay for an upgrade, especially advertised to now being able to import and use from P2 and that does not work.
Sony, if you read these postings… please get this working for all of us P2 users. I know this is a Panasonic product, a direct competitor to Sony, but if you want Vegas to be a editing platform for all professional formats it needs to be done.
