When going from pI3 to AE 7, I think you need to add a single word.
Do this to compare clipboard data produced by AE 7 and pI3:
– Copy some AE 7 data to the clipboard, and paste it into Notepad.
– Export position data from pI3 to the clipboard, and paste it into Notepad.
– Check the differences, and edit the pI3 data so it looks like the AE 7 data.

Try running pIllusion with software rendering. Either from the OpenGL page of Preferences, or by launching pIllusion with the Shift key held.
If the problem goes away, it’s a video driver issue.
If the problem doesn’t go away, please post a screengrab.
Also, have you tried restarting the computer already?

Load the “emitters_07_02” library (Feb 2007). If you don’t have it, download it from our website.
Contains almost exclusively Different Star Trek transport effects.

By tomorrow I mean “Wednesday” now — Elvis and Aharon came up with a neat idea for some emitters while at NAB, and Elvis is putting together some source video for them now… and found a bug in the pIllusion engine. So we’re testing out a workaround now, but won’t get the library finished until tomorrow.

Yes. Open the Project Settings and set the framerate to 5.0 or whatever slow rate you want.
Then select an appropriate emitter like “Bad Boy…” in emitters_04_03 (March 2004), add it anywhere on the stage, then r-click on the stage emitter and select “Record position”. You can now manually “record” position keys.

I’m not sure what adjustment you want. Can you post an image of what you have? After seeing it I can probably suggest a different flames emitter.

Try setting preload to 0, then work with frame 200 as the starting frame.

This is really basic, if I understand what you want to do. I suggest reading the docs — they start with the basics on moving an emitter (which is what you want to do).
