Spence I don’t know what size tablet you’ve got but on all of mine (various sizes) I much prefer to have the active area remapped small so that I can rest the edge of my hand on the tablet and use the stylus just like a pencil. Saves all that arm waving!!

I think most of wacom’s drivers allow this area remapping – maybe not the cheap range.

I grew up with the tablets back in the DOS days even before learning to use a mouse and think they are wonderful.

Persevere, all will come good I promise.

I think this is most likely a PC problem.

The way I understand it is that Windows does not natively support mpeg2 so third party players, eg installed software DVD players, provide this.

Some work better than others and only some will playback mpeg2 clips in PowerPoint.

In other words, whether mpeg2 clips play on a particular machine is determined by what software has been loaded on that particular machine. PowerDVD is such a programme that is often preloaded on windows machines.

Don’t know about Vista mind you.

that’s interesting Mark, is Shake the same?

I wonder what makes the cache files so enourmous? Surely it’s not creating motion vectors for each pixel???

Wow do you mean that Apple fails to make available online maintenance upgrades to their products once a new verson is available? That’s a bit manipulative.

F4M demo is limited to about thirty seconds if that is what you’re using?

Sorry I don’t know the PMW-EW1 XD-CAM camera. My PDF350 outputs comp video (downconverted from HD when required) and SDI.

But the cam’s only used for acquisition.
