HVX-200 has got bigger chip..1/3′ not 1/4′.
HVX-200 has got better formats and better built quality.
HVX-200 has got better camera controls.
HVX-200 has got better colour matrix and you can shoot both on tape or P2 or even hard drive.V1 has got better flip screen and fully auto AGC(audio),which can be handy.
Sony V1 is not as good as Sony Z1 and Sony Z1 is not as good as Pana HVX-200 🙂

I like both Pana 2000 and 3000..they are very vell built and pictures are great..they also have fantastic VF.
Just one little complaint:Why is LCD flip screen so bad?? It is much worse then flip on Z1 or even HVX-200. -

Canon make industrial HD lenses and broadcast(cine) HD lenses.
You would have to test each lens against each other to make this conclusion. -
Panasonic is famous with different models for the same model camera.
Example : HVX-200PAL,HVX-200NTSC,HVX-200E,HVX-202EN….
folowed by Pana2100series and 2000.Globalisation in full swing 🙂

I did not know there were Dual layer burneds available in Blu Ray.
Sony XDCAMHD burner can burn at 4x speed and 50 Gigs.It is more durable..but will cost 8x more then domestic blu ray.
I am personally going for domestic blu ray-it can only get better and cheaper next 12 months.
