Can you post a screenshot of the exported MPEG2 output? Are you using any filters on the video?

In your HDV project, File > Export > Movie (select the NTSC DV dimensions)

1. Does this happen with EVERY project?
2. Do you have any media located on external hard-drives? Try moving the assets into the local drive and see if it still freezes.

I don’t like the idea as well, because it really decreases the audio capabilities of the Production Studio by a great extent. I really hope Adobe continues to offer Audition in the “premium” video bundle…
Don’t get me wrong: Soundbooth is fantastic! But, its no Audition.

Is that an HP PC by any chance? What is the audio card? Is it Realtek?

It appears as if your Scratch Disk has run out of space. Delete the file from your project, empty up the harddrive and then re-import the generated file.

Try capturing via the demo version of Sc-Live to see if you experience the same drop-outs.

Can you tell us the exact properties of the original Quicktime file and the generated Microsoft .avi file? Where did you acquire this footage from?

The Techsmith encoder doesn’t work with Premiere Pro. It only works with Camtasia Studio.
