What’s wrong with selling it with the current bad video card. Simply nock your price down what you would pay for a video card.

NOT a new feature at all, its been in OS X for as long as I can remember. Its just not widely known.

Like I said USB works via bursts of data and FW does constant streams of data. The peek of a USBs data stream may be similar to that of FW but again it its only going to be a burst, not constant.

And that would be the problem. USB drives are not suitable for video editing. USB works by bursts of data and video requires constant data, especially where yu have 2 separate videos that are being played at the same time, the bursts of data just cannot keep up.
Your going to want to use a better type of connection for your media drive, like FireWire.
