    Make sure they are FULLY rendered. What color is the bar above them. Did you select render-render full?

    Marshall,

    That’s normal. You know the bright green bar in the timeline – that’s real time Preview, it’s not the full quality. FCP is doing ‘magic’ to play back the still. When you export, it’ll be the quality of when you’re paused.

    I get it now, was watching on the computer monitor. Then on NTSC output all was good. Sometimes the basics aren’t so obvious, especially for a guy with no training so, thanks everybody for your helpful comments. Love the COW!
