Well to have any type of online calender you Will need some type of account. I haven’t used google calenders, but I have used MobileMe and it is nice that it will automatically sync with your iCal, as well as let you view it online. The online storage that comes with it is also nice for sharing files and posting preview videos for clients.

Please do not take offense that I suggested you post the question on a better forum. I would have attempted to answer it but i know NOTHING about windows. THe best help I could be to you was to point you to a windows forum where people could actually be off help.

I was just trying to help by pointing you to a more useful place. You seem offended that I would say to you that the question does not belong here, again the ONLY reason I said that is because I knew that you would NOT find help on this forum. And so agin the ONLY way I could be helpful to you was to point you to a forum where people could be off help.

I am sorry if you took my suggestion the wrote way, I in no way wanted to come across are rude or snobby, I was just simply suggestion that there are he could probably get better quality sources from the filmmakers. After all he did say that it is for a TV show so why not try and get the best quality you can when assembling your show for broad cast.

Are you using a Firewire cable or with USB? iMovie HD6 won’t connect via USB. And is your iMovie project set to HDV if you shot in HDV or set to DV if you shot DV.

Better yet I am sure that these independent filmmakers will want there film shown in the HIGHEST quality possible, and I am willing to bet that they will provide you with ether a copy on tape or a mov file exported from there editing program. Both would provide you with MUCH BETTER quality end product.

If the same thing happens with a different cable then ether the drive or the enclosure it is in are not working. You fill need to contact the manufacturer for any possible warranty.

It sounds like you exported the files using a FCP specific codec. To view those files on other machines you will need to ether purchase a license for FCP and instal FCP on each of those machines, or export using a codec that is not proprietary to FCP.
