My LaCie 120GB external hard drive icon refuses to appear on either my MacBook Pro or my Powerbook G4. It knows its connected ‘cos it fires up when plugged (firewire) in but no icon anywhere. No problems with my 2 other external hard drives. What to do?

If the same thing happens with a different cable then ether the drive or the enclosure it is in are not working. You fill need to contact the manufacturer for any possible warranty.
