are you exporting both rgb and alpha? it’s been a week or so since i saw the tut. don’t know if those settings were adjusted, just make sure that your exporting alpha, other wise it will turn to black

ok, well after reading through the laborynth of new posts since last night with, as sam said, great intent i have these things to say:

As a student, im not yet trying to undercut anyone or even brake into the main industry (anything i come in and do will be through people i already know, proabbly for cheap or free just so i have chance to work, and meet the other edditors, and animators.) but what i do do, is work at my school for other students. infact (ironicly enough in a buisness class) im drawing up a buisness plan to start my own little company to work entirly out of home and school to work for other kids at my school who may or maynot be very computer inclined with edditing and aftereffects

im already getting known, and people are starting to call me for favors (unpaid for now) but after reading this thread, i now know i have to write up a contract, one that states, all work in after effects will be delivered as a final composition and not as a porject file, (final cut will be harder as it’s probably something they’ll want im not sure yet)

what im hoping is that i get a leg up in the industry as these people i work for graduate, and move on into teh indusrty, it’ll be like spreading my own work in the industry. i hope.

well your in luck it’s a pre made filter under render render radio waves

there you will have your radio waves
(create a solid first and apply the effect to this)
then take your audio file, control click (right click on a pc) and select keyframe assitent then convert audio to key frames
a new layer will open up twirl this layer open as well as effects so you can see left chanel right chanel both chanels

from here, go back to your radio wave solid, press e to reveal effects twirl down the radio wave effect and then in there twirl down wave motion and option click (alt if your on a pc) on the stop watch for frequency.

when the expression controls open youl see a pick whip which looks kinda like an @ sign. click this pic whip button and drag your mouse the the “both slider” under your audio keyframes.

your done have fun!

ya i build my own drives, and keep my lacie as purly storage, it doesn’t see much action

the problem is the drives are “striped” so if one crashes they both go kaboom,

but hoepfully you can get cleared out and be ok

discalimer, all this is speculation based on experience, advice, legal classes, and enough law and order to choke a horse (: but seriusly, take what ever advice given to you here with a grain of salt, the best way is to contact a lawyer and discuss with them, unfortunatly thats expensive.

this all depends on contracts and agrements. if, withing the contracts you used (if there was one) to create the products u have been making says full use of any material or resources devoted to the project. it would be the same thing if you filed a report, using a folder you bought from the store, and later saw the company using the same folder to hold their own folder.

but on the other hand, if there was no contract or the contract doesn’t specify the use of “materials” from the project u can at least get them to stop all use of these materials, and at most get money from their use (a percentage of the profits or a percentage of your nomral fee)

like i said it’s all about your contract of agreements, if there is no legal documentation it will get alot harder to do anything as far as getting money or not, it becomes a i said u said thing.
