Hm, tried Animation and it seems to work. That said, I’d still like to be able to use ProRes if possible.
Running AE CS5.

Thanks Dave. As I indicated, there’s definitely an alpha there when I export, because Photoshop sees it when I open it there. I’ve been using ProRes4444, but I don’t think the problem is the export settings.

No. Not strange. Not strange at all.

Optical Flow may produce better results for slow motion, but the Stabilize behavior is for absolute stabilization rather than “smoothing”. It depends on which you’re looking for. Either way, don’t expect spectacular results from DV footage if your footage is more than a little unsteady.
ProRes is fine.

Well the image I’m working with has a particularly similar foreground and background, so sometimes the propogation process can make things worse as much as it makes other things better. Anywho, thanks for the clarification!

Is there any way to “break” a span into two parts?

So you’re saying to modify just one frame, I have to create a span of one frame?

Okay, so I can freeze a span, but it doesn’t say anything about modifying individual frames. How do I change frames without risking propagation?
