What you need is at least 15″ MacPro. Al motion graphic software requires a lot of memory and graphic power from a graphic card Also think about the screen resolution the bigger it is the better it is for you I would say 1600×1000 is minimum you would need for motion. In your case buy mid range 15″ MacPro will be what you really need. Always look at the refurbish mac section on Apple’s website. They can have some really good deals.

The solution can be very easy. Firstly no computer have same fonts (apart of what comes installed with OS). If Motion if telling you that you do not have the font you need to write down what is the font that is missing then go to https://www.dafont.com/ find the font and download it. use Font book to install the font restart your motion and you will be back in business.
P.S DAFONT is a brilliant resource for fonts. Bookmark this website.

Yeas you can create particle from an image, in fact you can duplicate the cell later on and drop different images to different particle cells.
All you need to do is select the image and then press button called make particle. Then you will be able to duplicate the cell if you want to have more than one particle image.

Definitely look at Zaxwerks as it a great program to create 3d objects inside of Motion, also look at Boris FX Continuum 6, this set of plugins have 3d capabilities.

It is a global thing. You could apply motion blur to objects in your projects to preview what could be motion blur. You can also solo the layer and do a render preview with motion blur on. to solo the layer first select the layer or a group then go to object and press solo. Then do a ram preview.

Have you tried the following: go to view menu and select correct for aspect ration option. then render and see the result.
