    Look for how to delete the preferences of motion via google. This is always the first step to fix any problem with motion. Literary type how to delete the preferences of motion, or troubleshooting apple motion. Delete the preferences whic is in preference folder and then redraft motion, that should fix the problem. Best of luck.

    Cut out the image that you need in photoshop and put it in the desired position. This image will be on it’s layer when you import it from photoshop. Then apply a wriggle behavior to a transparency of the image. You can do this by right clicking on a word Opacity in the Inspector and then choosing wriggle. You can then adjust the behavior to what you want in the behavior tab. There are few other behaviors you can use but give this a go and see if this is what you are looking for.

    I hope this helps;

    P.S
    On my site there are quite a few video tutorials,see if any of them help you; https://www.embryo.me.uk

    Have you tried adjusting the life of the particle in the particle settings. this will determent how far the particles will spread in width and height. You can also try to adjust opacity over life. Black means you will not see any particles white means you see everything at 100%.
    Let me know how you get on.

    when exporting files are you using Millions of Colours + or Millions of Colours. Even though you can select the Animation Codec that does not necessarily means that is exporting Alpha Channel. A Millions of Colours + must be selected from the pull down menu. i hope this helps…

    you can stitch lots of different files in Quicktime pro. Open Quicktime and under a file select Open Image Sequence then select your first image in your image sequence and click open. Then you will get another window asking you to specify the frame rate and other, etc. it is very easy to use it. As far as the Alpha is concerned you have to save it in Apple Pro Res 4444 or Animation codec. I hope this helps.

    August 31, 2010 at 7:15 am in reply to: Optical flow issues

    Hi Back, Well there are no settings that will make your footage work perfectly, Optical Flow examines each piece of footage individually, what this means that the settings for my footage will be different to yours. If it does not work you have to try it with different settings to make it work. If you are not happy with your final outcome then you need to use other methods of Frame Blending (blending, motion blur blending).
    Focus on getting the result you need or close to what you need rather than Optical flow will solve my problems. I hope this helps…-)
