Your Tablet is no different to a using a mouse. Just create a mask in frame one then record (Select the record Button)and then record the changes in the mask (point) positions frame by frame.

Delete the preferences of motion and try again to import the image. Are your render settings set to Normal or Draft under the render settings. Also in the preferences of Motion under a project tab see that you did not select down-res large images images option under the Large Still tab.
See if this helps you if not let me know.
If you do not know how to delete preferences of motion just Google it, you will find it.

Please make sure that you have a white square created with the rectangular tool (colour it with white). Also if you want to have a white Background by default go to edit Project Properties and change the option from Transparent to Solid and then change the colour from black to any colour you want. Then render the animation. See my image for more details:
    I hope this helps:

  • What you need is what Stephen suggested MOCHA. It is a planer tracker which is a miles better than a tracker in motion. It is not expensive to get, also they do have quite a few free video tutorials on their website that you can learn from. If you need a good 3d tracker than you need to get PFHoe.

    I hope this helps.

You can also animate transparency parameter of the text making it invisible for one frame or several frames, this will give you what you want.

Difficult to say. However do you have your group checkbox set to 2d or 3d. if you are working on a 2d animation try, selecting the group in which the filter is being applied, then select inspector and select fixed resolution checkbox. See my image for more details.

Also try threshing the preferences of Motion and load the project agian to see if the problem happens again please.
if you still have problems let me know.

    I hope this helps.

July 30, 2010 at 7:21 pm in reply to: Motion 4 Not Performing as well as I hoped

Look, no matter how powerful your computer is or your graphic card for that matter you will always have the slow down on performance of motion.

Few things you need to do to make it work.

Always trim your work area only to the area you are working on.
Make sure your settings are as in previous post. Reflections off until you want to make final render.

Also I found that at times Motion uses robs RAM. So delete the preferences and restart the motion.

I also found that some filters are extremely difficult to handle like Noise Filter. See my video tutorial for Cross Processing at https://www.embryo.me.uk.

Also learn how to BAKE your layers, there is no need to use all of your assets as they are, if you are sure that you are finished with certian layers BAKE them, one by one. This can be done by going to FILE and exporting Selection, then make sure you select option AFTER EXPORT-IMPORT INTO PROJECT.

Also test the filters you have applied I know that some are very processor intensive. Switch them off one by one, that is the only way to know which one is killing your computer.

    I hope this helps

There are not dumb questions. Yeas you can move, squash, etc selected keyframes. You have to use different tool. You have to use Key Frame Edit tool, see my image for more details.
