I just found that in the viewport, under Options -> Configure my ‘Axes Scale’ was set to 1% and I couldn’t see them. Increase the scale for positive results.

I solved this problem by adding a Compositing tag to the object and turning off Self-Shadow.

Flashplayer 9 (Released June of 2006) and above support .mp4 video. If you are required to use a .FLV, simply change the extension. Flashplayer determines the video playback from the metadata in the file, not the file extension so it will play back the .mp4 properly.

If your end user still have Flash Player 8 installed on their machine, this will not work. You can test for player version with Flash or javascript and recommend an update if needed.

View -> Bars -> Show Filter : I had somehow typed a letter in the filter blank and it was not shown. Removing the letter restored my items.

I am having the same problem with a Dell Latitude D620 running Win XP. Apparently this issue has been going on for a while and I am not finding a solution online (except “Get another laptop.”)

The required audio hardware cannot be found on your computer.

This seems like a basic maneuver that there would be a tool for… Where is the Scale Selected Objects tool?!

I am having a similar problem with Illustrator CS3 and AE CS3. I have a text layer in my Illustrator file and part of the text gets cut off when importing as a cropped layer in AE. I have tried converting that text to outlines, but get similar results.

If you could post those instructions you sent via email in the forum that might be helpful.

Otherwise, I am about to save that 1 problem text layer as a seperate AI file then import it as not cropped and place it in the comp. Arghh – Its just a lot of extra work that shouldn’t be required!
