October 18, 2007 at 1:13 amApparently the drivers for Vista 32-bit are available, but not yet for Vista 64-bit. They say they’re coming, but no date has been given yet.

October 22, 2007 at 1:16 pmIt’s not like I’m using a cutting edge system here. One of the reason for getting a new laptop was to expidite loading P2 cards over my Old XP laptop.
There’s got to be a way to get this working.

December 9, 2007 at 6:30 amApparently it’s not just teh Vista issue.
I just upgraded to Fujitsu A6030. It came with Windows Vista, so of course nothing worked. I downgraded to Win XP (Took me a whole day, email me for instructions!), and guess what? “Audio hardware blah-blah-blah”….

December 9, 2007 at 1:04 pmAfter numerous emails and lots of head banging with Panasonic support the answer after a month now is NO it not’s gonna work!
First they said it was a problem with WinDVD, well I don’t have that. Then they said it was because my laptop is 64bit, it is but the OS is 32bit and the 64bit driver wouldn’t load. Then they said they had a new driver to try, that didn’t work. Now they tell me it’s because I don’t have a camera connected to the computer when I installed the drivers. Well I NEVER had a camera with my other laptop either (Compaq with XP) and it installed fine, but now I need the camera? I don’t own one, I rent.
Damn frustrating! I will try once more at the rental house with their camera attached but I don’t think it will matter.

October 16, 2008 at 3:11 pmI’m still having this same problem, and now it’s October 2008. There are new P2 drivers, and an update of the P2 Viewer software, but I still get the “The required audio hardware cannot be found on your computer.” error.
Has anyone found a solution or workaround in Vista?

February 12, 2010 at 5:19 pmI am having the same problem with a Dell Latitude D620 running Win XP. Apparently this issue has been going on for a while and I am not finding a solution online (except “Get another laptop.”)
The required audio hardware cannot be found on your computer.

February 23, 2010 at 9:58 pmAfter much searching, I got P2 Viewer to work by enabling, then disabling Windows XP SP3 Compatibility mode (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit):
