    C4D 11
    Apple Mac

I was working in C4D 11, with a timeline window open on one screen and the rest of the layout on my main screen. And I did something that hid everything in the timeline window (!). I tried closing it, reopening the program, the project, but the timeline window still shows nothign: no objects, no keyframes, as if y scene had no objects yet…!
Is there some View toggle I am missing? I have searched a lot and cannot seem to find what I turned off or on… Maybe my mac ran out of memory? I am capturing something in FCP, so I am unable to restart the mac for an hour or so.
    Thanks for helping this beginer!

Make sure that View>Automatic Mode is enabled. You may also have to View>Go To Main Level.

    Thanks!
It also might have been due to a non-intended Show Track comand with no object selected… Thanks for the speedy answer!

View -> Bars -> Show Filter : I had somehow typed a letter in the filter blank and it was not shown. Removing the letter restored my items.
